I'm kind of lost on what to do. I have both installed and they both seem to work as well as the other. I'm getting ready to set up Kodi a little better for my needs, but I'm wondering if I should switch to SPMC at this point?

If you're using smb for sharing 1080p view to a 120hz or better screen, then SPMC is the better option. Kodi is fine on my 60hz screens
im sticking with Kodi, its working without any problem for me and it still got updated to 16.1 even after that android developer left so im not worried.
I switched to SPMC since it is optimized for the Shield and has features like in app voice search I still have Kodi as well but have been strictly using SPMC
I've switched to spmc for now.
I have only ever messed with Kodi.
So would setting up addons and repos be a similar/same process in SPMC?
Saw an ad for an Octacore 8 box and it is supposed to stream tv, movies and ppv sports for free? Is this true? I currently have Frontier (formerly verizon) and am looking for a cheaper alternative to their prices.
Do these "tv boxes" really work well and stream what they advertise to? Thanks.
Well, Kodi has no Android dev at the moment, so I switched to SPMC. I have an Nvidia Shield TV, and SPMC has good support for it. No problems so far.
