This would be GREAT news. If for nothing other then to let us know they arent giving up on it. Man I wish tomorrow would get here!
To me this is very clearly implying there will be a new device having a remote with volume/channel rocker. This could be an Android set top box with tuner. It may also be a volume rocker.
Mt guess this is all the same 'chirp' device we have heard about. Probably a hybrid between an echo and a Nexus player running Android TV.
I am confused. What about that tweet makes you think it will be Android TV related rather than something else Google/Android?
Looks like a new Nexus Player to me. Google needs to push 4K forward for that platform. The Shield is great but too expensive for mainstream competition like Fire TV and Roku 4.
Everyone is hopping for something exciting. It could be just a chromecast audio enabled speaker.
I bet it's just a Google Cast Audio device.
Maybe Xiaomi is developing the new Nexus Player?
