Got a discounted Forge TV bundle as an Ouya backer. Cannot recommend it at all.

The problems with it are pretty well-documented on this sub, so I won't parrot them. Really, all I wanted it to do was run Kodi, and maybe a few Android games like Towerfall.

But it doesn't even get to that point. It just reboots.

Took it out of the box, plugged it in, set it up with wifi, let it take forever to update... and then it just reboots when I try to use it. I can't use it longer than 2-3 minutes before it suddenly reboots.

So I RMA'd that unit. After they received it, I got an email saying they ran out of return units (?!), and they offered me a discount code for the purchase price so I could order a brand new replacement, which I did.

Then that one arrived and had the same god damn problem the first one did. I complained to the support guy about it, and got no response after a week, so I'm just returning it and calling it a wash.

Can't recommend it.

It's a shame it's been so disliked. They could've done something really great.

Yep, I have that paper weight. It works ok for me for Kodi, casting and live channels.

But it has no Netflix (can load touch version for 480p, sigh), no expandable storage, it's stuck on Lollipop (marshmallow promised months ago no status updates), bad deinterlacing, piss poor support and communication. Worse streaming device I have ever owned. It is like having a Chinese android box with a AndroidTV skin. The only way this POS gets improved is if google gets appalled enough to stop them from tarnishing AndroidTV.

Could you have used the discount code on another, less sucky, Razer product?

Try setting it up on another TV - a similar thing happened with me on Shield TV and it turned out to be a handshake issue. I am not saying this is acceptable, just a work around for the time being.
