What a contrast from DirecTV who disables older versions of app and requires me to sideload.
Chances are that won't change since DirecTV charges $7/month for every RVU and mini genie I have. I would pay a subscription fee to have one box connected to my TV that also does DirecTV and doesn't require a hard wired ethernet!
Gonna have to steal my cousin's login. Lol
I absolutely hate Comcast but I would be amused if this app got live Channels support.
What about Nexus Player?
Live TV or just onDemandâ„¢ stuff that I can already watch elsewhere?
I seriously hope this is not a SHIELD exclusive. It's a nice device, but the more things get locked down to nvidia the worse AndroidTV will be on the whole.
I already have Comcast Xfinity TV Go app side loaded on my Shieldtv and it works fine! Well you need a mouse but other than than it works fine. No one else has tried side loading it?
excited that i don't need to side load it on my Shield TV anymore
The press release talks about having an "authorized modem." Wondering how this would work using a family members credentials....or more accurately, my own credentials for my moms account.
I have XfinityGo side loaded on my Shield but it's almost useless for my family as they don't want to be bothered with using the gamepad or a mouse to control the TV, additionally there's no way to place the app on the home screen -- have to go into the side load launcher.
They're going to have a rude awakening when I cancel Sling though.
Any update on this?
Well that is an extremely interesting development.
