Does the keyboard on the app work for anyone else? I've tried it on 3 different Phones and a tablet and the keyboard part has never really worked for me, and usually causes the app to crash. Is there an alternative app that can be used for the keyboard?
I'd really love an option for an on-screen keyboard on Android TV, really can't be arsed getting a physical keyboard out every time i need to type something
It works fine for me on android devices. The new iOS remote app keyboard has been a complete mess with extra letters be typed and occasional crashing.
The app keyboard works fine until I pair my Harmony Remote Hub with it, then it stops working :\
That said, I use the keyboard in the Harmony remote app. Works perfectly.
I usually select the keyboard from app after the on-screen keyboard is up. That works for me every time.
Try TV Sideview
For me, it only works after I've navigated and clicked into a text field. Simply opening the keyboard on my phone doesn't do anything, my TV isn't smart enough to grab the input.
