I recently purchased an nVidia Shield TV for the sole purpose of streaming content (Netflix and HBO Now, mostly).
It was working fine with the Smart DNS service I signed up for (Borderless Internet) until yesterday, even with no routes blocked on my router (Asus RT-AC87U). Now, All I get is local Netflix and no HBO Now.
I then proceeded to block ALL suggested routes on my router, but it didn't help. A fellow redditor mentioned that "nVidia released new updates that make geo-unblocking tougher". Is that true? If so, is there anything I can do about it?
Any help is appreciated. I tested Borderless Internet's dynamic DNS servers on my laptop and they worked, so it's clearly an issue with the Shield TV.
Thanks in advance.
last nvidia shield update was over a month ago, dont use netflix but I do know on another forum lots of people are having problems with netflix and smart dns (aussie forum). I cant imagine nvidia wasting any kind of time tying to bake in geo blocking on the shield
