Really hammer out CEC (more settings to fine-tune it)

Live TV reorder sources or Channels so you can mix sources and channel lists. Or perhaps a favorites list.
Needs to be able to play the "my thumbs up" playlist in the Google play app.....

A decent App Store, access to every App on your account even if it is not officially supported (with some warning perhaps) without having to sideload...and, you know, Apps.
an easier way to add live channels sources without being a tech wiz
an integrated video info overlayed on the video watching whenever you say "show video info". it be handy.

Stability of apps. Too many "Unfortunately, Kodi/Plex has stopped errors." I like android tv over roku, but roku apps were more stable.
Guide listings for live channels that extend beyond 4 hours.
The way android does drivers, Not being able to plug in any old usb peripherals and install a driver file has always ticked me off
Being able to become part of a chromecast audio group. Also the ability to be the cast initiating device to its audio group while it plays as well, all synchronized.
Edit: The audio group feature should also be extended to all google cast/chromecast devices. It would be nice if the implemented a receiver in all android and chromeOS devices
