Yesterday I received my Nvidia Shield TV and I updated everything but ES Explorer crashed all the time and couldn't access to my external hdd to install an apk and some roms. It detected it, but then with the joystick was impossible to access.
Do you know any workaround or other file explorer that works?
Same issue here, have been using X-Plore File Manager since (available via Play Store on Shield)...i like ES Explorer better, but X-Plore at least works.
Solid Explorer! Install it from the play store (desktop) and launch it through HAL Launcher or use Google Voice Search and say "open solid Explorer"
Turn off automatic updates on the google play store then download:
1 - sideload launcher
2 - aptoide
3 - from aptoide download es file explorer version 3.2.5.5 aka the before the bloat version
if you don't want to wait install ES File Explorer Pro and see if it crashes.
wait until Solid File Explorer is updated to support Android TV.
