Shield TV controller vs Xbox 360 contoller plus adapter.

by Emx333

I want to get a second controller for my NST. The Shield controller is nice, but for games like Borderlands the pre-sequel the middle captive buttons can be annoying and not register some times.

It looks like the Xbox 360 controller + adapter is a slightly cheaper alternative to the Shield controller, plus I've always been a fan of the feel and layout of the 360 controller. Are there any issues using the Xbox xontoller like button mapping issues? Thanks.

Just make sure you get an official Microsoft PC adapter, not a knock off. The knock off ones don't work 100% in Android TV.

I use my 360 controller with the SHIELD exclusively, never use the SHIELD controller.

I wish there was a dongle we could use with the DS4 as well. I prefer it's d-pad for retro games.

It's wonky trying to use both the shield controller and the 360 in multi-player games. Hit or miss.

For emulators this works well enough, but not for native games. For example, Trine 2 doesn't recognize the 360 controller as the second controller. I can use the Shield controller or 360 controller for single player, but not both for multiplayer.
