no android TV
come on
At least it can be cast which is a step in the right direction
i always find funny when i see these online tv services that are trying to replace your traditional tv subscription but they dont bother to make app for any TV OS like Android TV or Apple TV, they think im going to watch tv on my phone/tablet instead of on my 65" tv ? lol
look at Netflix, i think atleast small part of their success is that they have app for like every platform there is
You know what though, with the comedy plus extra added to the multi-stream pack on sling the vue slim package only has 2 more channels that I would actually watch (msnbc + nbcsn during the f1 season) and it's $5 more.
hopefully sling drops some info on their OTA tuner as a response or something, pretty pumped for that
Here's the question, can you currently cast it to a Shield TV or Nexus Player? Anyone have this service on their iPhone that can test this?
It's probably not far off I'm sure. Since the NBA playoffs are finished I don't really have a reason to want sling or vue currently. I do like how espn is setup on Sling because they keep some stuff for later viewing same with HBO.
It's a step in the right direction, and I have to think Vue will hit Android TV soon-ish...there's a native app for Fire TV, and that's a heavily skinned version of Android.
What does not make sense to me is this:
PSVue is a Sony service. Sony makes money by selling you this. Sony Also makes TV's. Sony TVs have Android TV as the default OS. Sony stands to make more money by putting this on Android TV.
