I currently only have pluto tv as a channel source for live channels, but I use the live channels app instead because it allows you to pick and choose which channels to have on the program guide. However it always seems to default back to showing every channel rather than the ones I specify. Is there a reason why it does this? And how do I stop it from doing that?
PlutoTV does seem to have a few bugs. One of which, at some point, it seems the guide doesn't update. The only way to fix is to reload sources.
I've noticed the custom channels bugging out too. Not sure if the androidTV API may be buggy, or if plutoTV is. I would guess plutoTV because none of the other sources seem to have issues updating (although sometimes it won't update until i select a channel from that source)
This happens with HDHR input in Live Channels as well. Hide channels you don't won't they all come back after a while.
Definitely a Live Channels bug. I uninstalled pluto tv as a result. I don't want all those channels in my list nor do I want to have to keep fixing it. I've seen it happen with other sources as well but those are easy to fix. 100+ channels, not so much.
Could be a bug with these apps. Maybe instead of updating through a regular database update they're deleting everything and inserting new and current channels together.
That would be sad.
Live channels needs more love. Why isn't there a list of favorites? Why can't we search for channels? Why can't we organize channels by source? Why can't it proactively retrieve channel guides for HDHR? It's pretty bare bones.
