Is there a way to turn off the RIDICULOUS "Unfortunately, blank has stopped." warnings?

Why do these exist? I don't care that some random application has crashed in the background. They don't even make sense. Why is Netflix running and crashing in the background while I'm watching Twitch? Why is the USA Today app running and crashing? Why am I notified of this? I have to find the remote as they don't just fade away. It's completely unnecessary to show this and it's such a poor user experience.

It's because AndroidTV is well, Android, and apps crash, and Android has sent those popups as far back as I can remember. A lot of the apps still run in the background so features like Recommendations or global search can include the items in the app. I had this issue with BloombergTV the most, and just ended up deleting the app.

Apps should not crash. If it is happening rarely, the notifications are not a problem. If it is happening a lot, it's a sign that something is really wrong, and it is good that Android makes you aware of that.

I've had this with Netflix. The only way to solve it was too clear Netflix' data (not just cache) and login again.

Which device? You might try clearing the cache.

Why do notifications telling you that an app is behaving incorrectly exist? I agree it's annoying, but apps should not be crashing. Apps may run in the background doing some process like generating recommendations. If you can report them, then hopefully the app can be fixed and that problem goes away.

Drives me crazy. Every single time I open am app, it crashes at least once before it opens. I have two and only one box does this.

This happens to me about once an hour with Netflix (while in another app). It started after the update on my Shield TV.

For the Netflix app, you can go to Play Store app and uninstall updates, then change the setting to avoid automatic updates, It's been a while since I update the Netflix app and I have not seen any problems like this on a Shield TV with 3.2 FW.
