Looks like the days of laggy Android TV on the Sony Bravia may finally be over?
The old Bravias up until this point were running a mediatek with 2 cortex a17 CPU cores and a Mali-T624 GPU.
The new budget Sonys are running a mediatek with 4 cortex A53 and the Mali-T860.
The A53 is midrange but the Mali is a huge improvement being just a hair below graphics performance in the Exynos Galaxy S7. About time Sony spent some money on the chipset.
The 700D doesn't look to have HDR. The 800D has it but doesn't seem to come in a size larger than 49".
