They should have a change log :/
Thanks I'm currently updating. I'm from Germany where YouView is not a big deal. Do you know what "android updates" in the official change log mean?
KDL65W855CBAEP updates aswell
That's all this is? How.... Disappointing.
I thought this came out around a week ago. Was there another update?
Any changes other than this?
I already had Youview disabled, as it's slow and horrible in addition to losing the ability to record to HDD.
We recently got a BT Youview+ box on another TV. I was expecting it to be terrible but it's brilliant. Youview working lovely and smooth, with easy to use native recording and live pause. Why can't my TV do this?
I have the KDL55W805CBAEP version, do anyone know if there is an update for that to? I'm not home right now. And my tv have a lot of bugs...
Sometime the led is glowing when tv is off, I can turn on the TV with the remote but after the tv started the remote is useless. (Solution: turn off tv with the app, then tv turns on again on its own and remote works again.
Some apps just crash and won't work unless I uninstall and then install it again (Plex).
Sonys auto-dim (or what it's called) I'd buggy and I can't disable it. Some shows its getting darker and brighter as they change angle (GoT for example).
Right now Sony is not making a big impression on me, if they don't fix this kind of things soon I never gonna by a Sony again :(
There is also an update that came out today for the x8500c in Australia
Looks like it was this update
We are pleased to announce that a new firmware update (version 3.473 for 2015 and 2016 TVs) will become available for download directly onto your TV, between the 19th and 26th July, depending on your model/country/region. This new firmware will further enhance the TV’s performance, while offering the following additional functionalities:
- General Android update
NOTE: This firmware will be rolled out gradually from the 19th July.
No, not Android 6.0. The build I have on my Sony X8309C after the update is still Android 5.1.1 LMY48E.
I've got a new version of Amazon Prime Video which looks good (not used properly yet). I've also re-enabled YouView after previously disabling it due to performance issues. It seems much snappier so I will continue to try it out.
I have KD-43X8305C and I can confirm the update. I am in the UK.
Does anyone know more details about the changes? The Sony statement has zero details.
No 6.0? :(
