I use the DS4 on my Bravia Android TV.
You can control the entire Bravia Home screen with the gamepad. Every Android game that supports Android TV AND gamepads can be played with the DS4. I play the Android versions of Sonic on the TV and it works great.
Remember to pair the controller in the TV's settings menu through Bluetooth. No USB required.
Should be able to play controller based games. Haven't had it work outside of the PS app for any sort of menu interaction, and have no interest in android games on my TV though, so can't personally confirm.
