Which streaming device to buy

by Quietscream123

I want nearly the same experience I'd have browsing my pc in my living room.

I would like to play a few games on tv that are playable with controllers as well as local multiplayer games for more fun.

I also want to be able to stream my animes/drams on tv as well so I need something like desktop streaming/google so I can search those.

So I don't want to plug an HDMI from my pc to my tv because I want to have some USB plugs near my TV for controllers.

I think steam link can leave big picture mode and enter a google search quite easily? I also thought about razer forge tv/nvidia shield.

Don't go for the Forge TV, it's dead in the water. The shield however is alive and thriving and sounds like exactly what you're asking for. Also, shield controllers work with PC.

Shield + Plex server

It sounds like you should just connect a PC to your TV. There are ways to mirror the screen or directly plug in depending on your setup.

Mr_You

Nvidia Shield + SPMC/Kodi.

I really love my Nexus Player, but they've recently been discontinued. I imagine they'll still get updates (I'm running the Android 7 beta on mine), but they're hard to find. If you can find one I'd seriously recommend it (and the Asus gamepad)
