I've tried restarting and power cycling everything, but when I hit my TV's name under screen cast it flashes "connecting" for a split second then stops. I tried doing cast screen from within chrome in a video player and still nothing. Is there any thing else I'm missing?
EDIT: Miracast has started working again, the google cast still just disconnects as soon as I tap it on however. If I find the cause I'll update this post for record purposes.
Which method? Miracast or Chromecast?
Try uninstalling Google cast receiver updates then update again through the store.
Was having exact same issue the other day with same T, V but nexus phone. Restarting my phone is what unscrewed it for me, so I'm really confused what's going wrong with yours.
I have this problem every now and then with Android YouTube app. Restarting the TV from Settings solves it all the time. I don't know if I got any updates yesterday though.
Did you restart both the TV and Phone, or just one of the devices?
