Youtube audio cutouts on Sony 55X810C

by Latromi

Hello all. I just wanted to see if anyone knew the solution to this issue.

When I use my Android TV Youtube app (or the built in Chromecast) I experience audio cut outs on certain videos. The cut outs are not random, as I can play the same video a dozen times and every time the audio will cut out at the exact same moments.

In this video, for example, all the audio is fine until Homers first line. He says "Yep, it's the American way." Using either the built in app or the built in Chromecast results in me only being able to hear "Yep, it's the -" then the rest of his line is cut off.

Many videos on the Extra History and Extra Credits Youtube channels suffer this issue as well.

Anyone have any idea what might be causing this? 85-90% of Youtube works fine. But occasionally I will get videos that do this and the only solution there seems to be usa to just watch those videos on my phone.

I am using a simple sound bar plugged in with an optical cable as well. But the sound bar is so simple that I can't imagine it's the culprit here.

Same model and I had no audio problems playing that clip with either the Android Tv app or casting from the iPhone YouTube app. I have YouTube Red but I can't imagine that makes a difference.

I had frequent cutout issues when using my lg soundbar with my Sony android TV. Try turning it off and using the integrated speakers, see if the sound still cuts out.

I now want a new TV because of this stupid issue. Integrated speakers are awful.
