I just bought a Sony XBR55X700D and I've had a problem with connecting to the WiFi. When I turn the tv on for the first time in the day, it doesn't connect to the WiFi. I scan to find the WiFi and it doesn't show any results. I have to unplug the tv and only after that will it connect to the WiFi, it's very annoying. Are there any ways to fix this?
If you search the Sony support forums this is one of the most common issues. Their support solutions are generally garbage, it seems like they recommend a factory reset every time. I think it just comes down to Sony using a cheap wireless chipset and/or not updating the drivers properly. I'd recommend going with wired connection even if you have to buy a wireless bridge to do so.
Once it's connected check for software updates.
