Is SlingTV ready for Prime Time? I ask because I looked at this a while back and thought it was pricey for a system that reviewers stated didn't stream consistently or had heavy lag.
Is it working better now? Is the streaming simply an issue of available bandwidth on your ISP or with SlingTV itself?
Edit: Found a recent review of SlingTV and it sounds like it is working pretty well. But, I also saw that to stream to multiple devices at the same time requires multiple subscriptions. So, for a family, it is probably much cheaper to have subscription cable over SlingTV! Wow. I thought the idea of cord-cutting was to lower the cost by getting just the channels you wanted... Oh well.
Details:
NFL Network is only available on the blue plan ($25 for new users, $20 for beta users). Blue plan also includes Fox Sports 1 and 2 and NBC Sports but no ESPN. RedZone is part of the $5 sports add-on and can only be added to the blue plan. The sports-ad on for the blue plan does not include the extra ESPN channels.
If you want ESPN, you can pay $40 to have both orange and blue packages. And then for $5 more you get both the extra ESPN channels and RedZone.
