Game Controller (for my Nexus Player) ?

by magearden

I'm looking to use my nexus player for emulation, and android games, can anyone tell me what are the best game controllers out there that are compatible with the nexus player. It would help if it's something that I can buy up here in Canada, like at EBGames, Best Buy, The Source, etc. I'm not looking to buy online, because I don't have a credit card. Would like it if the game controller was bluetooth but a plug in play is also fine as long as the cord is long enough so I can play from the couch. Anyone had any luck finding a compatible gamepad for the nexus player

How about the official Nexus Player controller that was made for and launched with the nexus player?

It's been discontinued and hasn't been available or seen in Canada for some time now, I live in Ottawa BTW, believe me I looked everywhere, the only ones that I can find are sold online only (eg. EBay) but since I don't own a credit card I can't buy one :/ believe me I wish I could get one, that would've been my first choice :(

If you can't find the Nexus controller, any Android game pad will do. I like the Moga Pro. The Razer Serval is designed for Android TV, with media buttons and all, but I've heard bad things about it.

All classic bt controllers are fairly terrible, bt le controllers are rare. Better off with a good USB controller for retro games, since many require good twitch reflexes/low latency.

I just plugged an Xbox 360 controller in with an USB on the go cable.

So just an update, I purchased an original XBox 360 controller (wired) from EBGames (brand new sealed in box) and I can confirm with absolute certainty that it just works, didn't have to configure anything, just plugged it in and it was ready to go, even better yet was the fact that most emulators recognized it was an XBox 360 Gamepad right away and did the key mapping for me :) So all in all can't complain ;)
