My Nexus Player has been rebooting into TWRP every night so far. I haven't had time to sit down and troubleshoot so I just end up hard rebooting it (unplug/replug power brick) before going to work.
I have a hunch that it's being caused by the August security update failing to install (I'm unlocked/custom recovery/rooted) but am unsure. Can anyone confirm if this is the case, and if so, is there a way to defer the update until I have time to manually flash the OTA file?
That's exactly whats causing it. It tries to update, boots into recovery finds twrp and obviously fails to update and just stays there.
You either need to reflash stock recover if you want automatic updates or you need to find a flashable zip for the update and manually flash that in twrp.
