Which android TV box for steaming?

I've had an apple TV for the last year and i've just come to terms with how useless they are for everything really and want to get a replacement tv box.

I also have just found Mobdro and showtime and they look like a great alternative to online streams.

My main uses woudld be:

-VLC player (files from a external HDD) -Mobdro -Showtime -netflix

No games really. Would this box be good for this?

Nexus player,Nvidia Shield Tv or new Xiaomi Mi coming soon are the only Android TV boxes...along with loads of android Tv integrated TVs

What that is,is a box with Android on it....not an android Tv box,very different things

But if you do decide to go for the minix box they are great. I have used a minix x7 for a few years. I am just upgrading to a shield now to give that a go for kodi
