Anyone else tried out the beta yet? It looks great but it seems like hardware acceleration is not working. All PVR HD recordings are super laggy/choppy. I really like the new simplified look so I'd love to get it working. Haven't tried it on my Shield yet.
Sorry to resurrect and old thread, but I have been using a Mi Box for awhile now. Recently hooked up the Nexus Player again and was surprised to see this issue is still there with the latest Krypton RC. Anyone using Nexus Players and Kodi 17, do you just leave hardware acceleration off?
Yea, I noticed that as well. I use Kodi to interface with my MythTV backend. When I went to watch the closing ceremony last Sunday, it would play a few seconds, and then the picture froze. Sometimes advancing a few seconds would make it play, but overall, it was really bad. When it did play, there were visual distortions all over the screen. I ended up leaving the beta program, and going back to 16.1, and everything is OK now.
