I don't quite understand what you're asking so I'm going to answer what I think you are asking.

720p, 1080p, and 4k are different resolutions.

720p is 1280x720 pixels 1080p is 1920x1080 pixels 4k or 2160p is 3840x2160 pixels

720p is the lowest quality of these, 1080p is higher quality, and 4k is even higher quality.

Your television is likely one of these. The fist generation of television sets that were marketed as HD were 720p. Most new televisions today are 1080p, often marketed as Full HD. New top of the line sets may be 4k or UHD.

If your television is UHD, you can play 720p, 1080p, and 4k content. 720p might look a little funny since it doesn't scale perfectly.

If your television is 1080p you will not be able to play 4k content, you can play 1080p content and 720p content, again 720p might look a little odd.

720p can only play 720p content, 720p will look normal though.

Display resolutions. Bigger number = more pixels = more detail in the image

A pixel is a dot of color. The more pixels your TV has, the more dots of colors the video/picture of capable of having. The more dots, the more subtle the colors can be. You can have two different red dots next to each other to create a more realistic picture, whereas a lower resolution image might just blend the two reds together, which isn't as true to the source. Hope this helps

I see you're asking a lot of very basic questions on reddit that can be better answered by googling or watching informative videos on YouTube. Spend some time doing your own research, and when you get stuck, then seek out an expert to help you understand.
