Looking to Expand Internal Storage of Nexus Player

by magearden

I'm looking to expand the internal storage of my nexus player, currently I have a 16GB thumb drive formatted as internal storage but I need something much bigger. I was looking at this but I'm not sure if it'll work, because of the security feature, has anyone used this, can I still format this as internal storage, it's on sale until the 31st, is it any good ?

I just bought 3 of those in the US because Target had marked them for $17.97.

They work just fine. I have one connected to my Shield TV as storage for my Plex server. The Shield had no issue formatting that drive as adoptable storage.

If it plugs in via USB, it can be used as storage. Flash drives, external HDDs, SSD in an enclosure, even a USB adapter for Compactflash.

If your question is whether or not that WD external is any good, I'd assume so (cuz WD) but you can always check multiple vendors for reviews to get first-hand experiences.

I have a 128gb sd card plugged in via an otg cable hub and have no issues using it as internal storage
