Dolphin Emulator

by SpoonFed276

I'm a huge fan of emulators for android and have all the systems I want current;y set up as of now minus Gamecube. I loved dolphin on my pc and had run it on my android phone many years ago but was disappointing with its performance at the time (it had just released and was convinced at the time that android would have been incapable of running dolphin) but now that I am very comfortable with android TV I was wondering if any of you guys use it on the regular or if it is still a WIP. If you guys do run it and it runs well, a link to the best build and possibly either a compatibility list for games or a optimized settings list would save me a lot of time.

I got twilight princess to run, never was able to get to passed the intro scene

Edit: on shield tv

It's still a huge WIP. I'm not sure Android devices have the power to run Dolphin just yet. Maybe in the next couple of years it will be worth a shot.

The horsepower's definitely there - I had it mostly running Soul Calibur II at native framerates. There are a ton of bugs though - never got anywhere at all with Super Monkey Ball. :(

Some devices have the power, easily. NVIDIA Shield Tablet + TV for example...but there are no working builds worth a damn still.

There is a dolphin build of pull request 3935 that add vulkan support that runs pretty well. I do hate the shield controller however. I disabled antialiassing and set the resolution to 1920 by 1080.

I can't find a source because I don't care, but I feel pretty certain I've seen threads where it's very clear that the android version receives almost no dev interest. It's why there's a 5.0 on PC and android hasn't had any real progress in like a year.
