How to change the aspect ratio on Sony Pravia w800c

So I downloaded some Blu-Ray movies with 2.40 Aspect ratio and I tried to play them on my Laptop with a HDMI Cable to my TV but still doesn't shows me the full screen.

So I tried to get the movie in a Flash memory and played it on my tv, it shows me the full screen but with half screen like black up ,black down and the movie in the middle I tried to change the Aspect ratio, there is no option such like that, I get to change it by one way "Zoom" "Normal" and two other options, but didn't get options for specific restitution

My TV is Sony Pravia 2015 W800c

It depends more on the video player app. Try MX player, can't remember if it has the option to change the aspect ratio though.

Can you take a photo?

You know that 2.40:1 is correctly displayed on a 16:9 tv by having the black masking bars? They are actually part of the movie transfer to preserve the ratio. That's why I ask for a photo, to see how much is showing

Maybe you should stream the movies from your laptop to your TV.
