For those who are facing Google Cast issues in your Sony TV

I have Sony's XBR55X810C Android TV. Trying to cast from my Android tablet's YouTube would fail frequently. Recently, I wrote to support and they asked me to checkout this link. For some reason, even though the TV was set for auto update, it didn't update Google Cast. I did as per the link and I haven't faced the issue for the last 1 week.

Edit: Looks like the problem is back for me. I got the "cannot connect message" in Android Youtube app couple of times in the last 2-3 hours. It went away only after rebooting the TV.

Yup, the latest Google Cast update has made it flawless. I casted a tab for several hours without any issues.

I've always had a flakey connection with google cast feature on my W800C. I ended up buying a chromecast for the TV so that it would work reliably.

Just updated the app, hopefully that will help. Thanks for the tip!

Weirdest thing, I spent like a week once trying to ge this to work and just finally gave up. This was like 7-8 months ago. The other day I tried it with the same tablet I was trying before and it worked flawlessly.

I updated my Google Cast app and I still have the same problem: Audio is lagging behind. Happens when I cast from the PC or Mobile.

Yup. Same problem. I have the XBR55X850c. So far, my impressions of Android TV are dismal.
