Sony Bravia Android TV.

Trying to sideload the xfinity app on my android TV and I'm running into problems connecting my phone to the TV. Every attempt seems to fail. I'm on the same network. I'm using the apps recommended online to transfer apks. Could the fact my Nexus 6 phone is rooted be a problem?

I can't even connect with Bluetooth. I was trying to transfer via Bluetooth on my HP Pavilion 2n1. When I try to pair the computer to the TV, it's gives me a code to verify the right TV and it is the correct code but says it failed because the code didn't match.

Any help or advice to try and do this would be great!

Are you trying to use the phone as some as a controller for the TV? Is the APK file loaded on the phone? I'm not familiar with this particular app but the best way to sideload is via USB. Locate a thumb drive and format it to ensure that there are no existing files or folders on the drive. Then copy and paste the APK onto the drive. Before inserting the drive you will need to navigate through the Settings menu and turn on the ability for your TV to use non verified apps. From there you can locate and install the APK off of the thumb drive using your preferred file explorer

I would try one of the options in ES File Explorer. You can access a cloud storage service or remotely access the storage on your phone or PC.
