The Fire TV's Twitter App has Android TV's Leanback Banner, so it is most likely coming to Android TV also.
Edit: I think we might be able to get this via Amazon Underground. I'll test it later.

I've used a few of his apks in the past and have never had any issues. To each their own though.
I got the APK from APKmirror and side loaded it. Watched the whole Patriots/Texans game last week with zero drops or stuttering.
I have the Fire TV apk. I sideloaded on the Shield. It seems to run well. I'll see how well the video plays once the game starts.
Edit: They started the stream. Quality is really good, at least at this point.
