After being on Kodi between 5-10 minutes my box just kind of kicks me out back to the box's home screen, does anyone know what to do?

If you're not using a proper android TV box such as a Shield or Nexus player, I suggest getting one of those.
Cheap "android tv" boxes are scum.
Maybe you should ask a sub that deals with Android boxes then?
What is the model of your device that you're asking for help with? From your description, it sounds like you do not have an Nvidia Shield TV, Google Nexus player, Razer Forge, or one of the supported Sony Android TV television sets. If that's the case, then you do not have an Android TV device. We get questions like these just about every day from people who have purchased a device that they think is Android TV which is not. The fact that your device is hooked up to a TV and runs Android does make it Android TV. Android TV is a very specific platform. This subreddit will only answer your questions if you have an actual Android TV device.
I kinda feel bad for these people who buy these fully loaded Android boxes. They are absolutely clueless.
Check the data and cache for the app through the settings menu. If it gets to close to the storage capacity of the device it will fail.
Are you using a mini keyboard attached to the box with a dongle?
Sell it and get a real Android TV device.
