Is HDMI-CEC fully supported? i.e. does it work as expected with your TV's remote instead of the provided one?
Some things I've noticed.
The power cord (and HDMI) is unreasonably short. Like maybe 3' at the most.
You're stuck with Netflix, VLC, HBO Now, HBO Go, Showtime, and Watch ESPN under a "Mi Box Recommends" tab.
The I/O is power, full USB, HDMI, and a circular audio jack with a red LED? It looks like a combo 3.5mm and optical, but I have no clue.
Live Channels and HDHomeRun works wonderfully.
It seems about as fast as the Nexus Player.
I had some audio and video issues on first boot. Reboot seemed to solve them.
Vudu, Netflix, and YouTube support 4k. There might be others though.
Does it support 24 frames per second playback (1080p24, 2160p24)? The vast majority of content from the major steaming services is done in 24p and since my 120 Hz TV can support it, I prefer to use it if possible.
Does it let you change the resolution or does it automatically go to the highest one?
Do you have a marantz receiver? My shield tv is flickering a lot with it.
