I've unpacked the android version released by Synology and there's no mention of leanback or TV, so it must be a different APK.

The leanback and mobile versions are not the same apks.
The leanback version currently is 1.1 and offers AC3 and DTS pass-through. Unfortunately the apk is hard to find and Synology only offers the mobile version as apk download on their servers.
I can share leanback version 1.0 as apk if required but I can't find 1.1 anywhere which I have currently installed from the PlayStore.
The mobile version is on version 3.3.
I've tried both on my Sony Android TV and they have different file sizes, different GUIs and different options.
