Meh. Not really an update, more of a catch up.

What about HDR like HDR10 and Dolby vision?

Did they mention how this affects people who already own "HD" movies through Play? Well they automatically get the 4k version? Be able to pay an "upgrade to 4k" fee? Or will they have to buy again to get 4k?

They feel it's reasonable to charge more for HD over SD, so this mill cost more right? Or maybe push down the other two prices?

Probably neither, but if it's neither then it makes me question charging more for HD even harder than I use to.

I just purchased a 4K Samsung and this makes me extremely excited but I am wondering about its actual performance. Right now when I watch a Play Movies video through the Nexus Player it looks ok. When I watch the same video through VUDU directly from the TV the quality is OUTSTANDING, even though it is still only 1080p. Wish they would work on video quality and compression first.

I really hope that the Play Movies app on the TV itself gets updated too.
