Where are the release notes that mention 5.1 DD+? All I see is this:

• Vice News Tonight airs on Oct. 10th and features an enhanced viewing experience with touch-screen capability on phone, tablet, and desktop

• Bug fixes

Oh, and it has a bug where you can't resume/restart last played video. You have to play another video first or restart the app

Is there an apk available ?

I just tried the latest APK on my Shield and can confirm I am getting 5.1 sound

It barely plays for me. Everything is choppy and the audio lags.
