tl;dr: Puffin TV lets you watch Flash video on Android TV boxes. If you have the Shield, could you please post an APK file for the Puffin TV browser. It's not available right now for Mi Box. I haven't been able to download it from anywhere, including APK sites (it doesn't show up in Play Store searches using Mi Box, I can't push it from my laptop -- see screenshot below, APK Pure doesn't allow downloads to non-Shield devices apparently, even the shady looking APK sites don't seem to have a copy of the APK).

I just bought the Mi Box today and want to watch live streams of CNN and Fox News, etc. using cable company sign-ins.

The CNN and Fox News apps for Android TV don't appear to have actual live streams, and when I sideloaded the regular Android versions of those apps they ran poorly and were hard to control. (The regular Fox News app crashed when I clicked on their live stream called 'Fox News Go'.)

So I want to watch the Flash video live streams from their websites.

But the only browser that seems to be capable of playing Flash video and also being controlled properly by the Mi Box remote control is Puffin TV.

It's not installable through the Play Store to the Mi Box -- see this screenshot:

APK Pure also says it's not available. The other sketchy APK sites that show up on a google search also don't seem to have the actual APK either.

I've emailed the makers of Puffin, CloudMosa, and asked them to allow access to the Mi Box. If anyone here is interested, you may also want to email them to ask: puffinbrowser+androidtv [at] cloudmosa.com
