You have to grab the prime launcher from http://forum.xda-developers.com/shield-tv/development/amazon-prime-video-demand-android-tv-t3278778 and use that to install the APK. Then things will work as expected. If you've previously sideloaded an Amazon APK you must force stop and uninstall prior to running the prime launcher.

Does any software other than ES File Explorer work? I've heard many things about them "spying" on you and sending data to China (or something like that).
THis doesnt seem to work on Nexus pLayer it just stalls out while loading video

XDA took it down at Amazon's request.
If it weren't for my smart TV having an Amazon Video app built in, I'd have to use my desktop computer to access it on the big screen.
Amazon needs to unbunch their underwear and provide proper availability to their service. The built in TV app is kludgy at best, putting the Amazon Video service in a "bad light." All the other video services I use support Android TV, and work/look great.

I don't think this is a 100% solution for some people. I'm finding that the search in the prime launcher app is pretty limited and doesn't find a lot of Amazon content.
I have kids, someone of my shows/movies I'm searching for are less than popular so YMMV.

Has anyone been able to use the launcher right? it does not load right, it is very slow and search does not work.
The Amazon Prime Video APK works but is almost un-usable with the Mi remote. You need a mouse otherwise you don't really know what show you are selecting. Unless there's a Android TV version of Amazon Prime Video.
