Hi everyone! If you are are having issues accessing network shares on your Android TV device, follow the steps below and it should fix you up.
-
On the Windows machine where you are sharing from press the Windows Key + R on your keyboard to show the run dialog, then type regedit and click ok. Make sure to click yes if the administrative prompt pops up for you.
-
Carefully navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Services\LanmanServer\Parameters in the left hand pane. Once you click parameters, right click in the right hand pane and choose new -> DWORD (32-bit) Value and name it IRPStackSize.
-
Double click on IRPStackSize and enter 31 in the dialog that pops up while leaving Hexadecimal selected, then click OK.
-
Reboot. You don't have to reboot (you can restart the 'Server' and 'Computer Browser' services instead, but it's easier just to reboot usually.)
-
You should now be able to access your network shares. Enjoy!
Is this really necessary? I have been accessing my network shares from NAS and Win7 computer from KODI and "Solid explorer+mediaplayers" without problem.
