Issues with Netflix and Mi Box

Ok guys, I know some of you have already found a solution for Netflix not playing. Most of these issues have been solved by restarting the device. I have tried literally anything, from resetting the whole Mi Box, to reinstalling the Netflix application, switching accounts, turning it on off, trying to cast from my iPhone/iPad, changing the Netflix default quality from ultra HD to medium and low quality, setting up a new Netflix account, switching between wifi networks, changing the HDMI cable,, using Google's DNS, etc etc etc. Any ideas guys?

Have you performed the OTA firmware update on Mi Box? If you want HD from Netflix, you must have the proper, paid account, otherwise your streams will be limited to SD resolution. Hope you get it resolved. Netflix at 1920X1080 looks great

Seriously, exchange the device. I exchanged mine when it took two resets just to get mine to recognize my resolution settings. There are some odd, rare issues with some of these devices.

Just exchange it man. I haven't had that issue on either of mine. Everything runs extremely well, and I'm using WiFi exclusively.

When you did the initial setup, did you use the Android device solution? I did the first time, and it appears that certain apps copied from my cell over to the Mi Box. I believe that's why several of my apps didn't work, including Netflix. I did a factory reset and entered all info manually and Netflix worked.

I don't have the MI box but I have a firetv and shield tv both have issues with Netflix not playing randomly. I think Netflix just has a shitty app.
