Has anyone got the Nexus Player gamepads to pair with the Mi Box? I can't get mine to work. Seems like they should pair up with the Mi Box like any other bluetooth controller would.

Mine worked too. I've had a few issues with my Mi box but the Asus gamepad worked perfectly.
My ASUS GamePad for the Nexus Player connected and paired perfectly.
