It seems odd not being able to even pause. Some of the apps that can feed Live TV can pause if you switch to the app. I'd be happy if just they allowed pausing and if possible ff/rw. I love the guide of Live TV but when they say Live they really mean it.
The reason I think it is odd is that many of the sources seem to just be on-demand streams. Maybe I'm wrong about that though.
I dont think pausing live TV is supported until Android 7
The new beta hdhomerun DVR (with DVR engine running on external computer) can do this. Only curently works in the hdhomerun view app, live tv support may come in the future.
I believe tablo supports this as well.
