Does any one know or has gotten then HDHR3-US version of the tuner to work with Android TV? I don't feel like spending another $90 on another tuner just to get this to work.

you can also get InstaTV to get live channel support for HDHR3
Kodi v15 or SPMC v15 (called "SPMC old" on Google Play) will give you a basic list of channels and playback.
v16+ killed support for the older HDHomerun protocol, though.
But how about natively through Android TV through the Live app or through the HDHomeRun app self?
So I have to use an older version of Kodi/SPMC
I can confirm this works great as well. I'm using it in my HDHR3-US. Added he Hdhomerun app, and content shows up in the Android Live viewer.
Mine is working just fine. Works with the Live Channels app and both of the HDHomeRun apps. I haven't got the DVR features working yet but that's just because the remote control settings are weird.
