I tried using external storage on the mi box and found it to be incredibly slow to load data. Crossy Roads took about 2 or 3X as long to load off external storage.

I was using a 16GB micro sd card in a usb adapter since that was all I had.

I know the mi box supports USB 2.0 and the drives are pretty cheap but before I get one I was wondering if anyone is currently using a USB 2.0 drive on their mi box and if it is annoyingly slow as well or if my experience was just due to my setup.

Edit: bought a 3.0 USB drive and apps stored on it load fast. So the moral of this story is micro SD in a USB adapter is a no-go.
