so, now that google announced a Ultra-HD Chromecast; can we expect to see the "google cast" feature on AndroidTV to be UltraHD compatible? on NVidia-Shield, on Sony UHD, or even on MiBox? if Android TV have google cast embedded, it should receive a update to allow for UHD streaming as well
I have a Vizio TV that has Google cast embedded and UHD works for Netflix and YouTube at least. But it's not Android TV, the TV has no interface of its own. But I imagine it's just limited by what the device hooked up can output, plus getting software updates

Yeah, Google should upgrade the Google Cast Receiver to support 4K of the device supports it. That would be great 😃
It's just sending a URL. If the device that's pulling down the stream can do 4K, then it should be able to do 4K.
