In the States for a few days, Walmart near hotel has mibox in stock. Is it worth buying?

Like the title says, Walmart near my hotel has a few miboxes in stock, wanted to pick one up, but decided to research it a bit first. Reading through some of the posts, it's kinda 50/50 with this box.

Is this something with getting just for watching kodi and live streaming?

Thanks

I have 2. It's needs patches but it's a great android tv device.

It's not bad. I own one myself, there's a few quirks with the software. Non standard USB type a makes adb over USB a pain. Google Play Store support makes installing Kodi or SPMC a breeze. So if your only looking at Kodi and livestreaming then I would say yes it's worth it.

It's definitely what anyone who's thinking of a Chromecast should buy. It's not a shield replacement (it's not a AAA gaming rig) but if your thing is entertainment it will blow everything else out of the water. I own one and love it.

Get it. I own 2 and it's the best thing since sliced cheese. Just my opinion though. Has some quirks but for the price it's fantastic.

I love mine for the second television. Shield TV rules the roost in my house as a Plex Server, but the Mi Box is fantastic for the second set that is not 4k. I have experienced very good streaming with all my media and sources on WIFI. I am even using it with the Rrmotr software to some light game streaming! It's a great box for the money.

I just picked one up from Walmart. Video from any app or casting lags like crazy. Almost unwatchable.

Restarting the device clears it up for a bit, but I won't be keeping it if this continues.

I have fiber internet. And high end router. Speed test is over 300mbps. So it's not my internet. Apple TV or watching on my android works fine.
