Mi Box will not wake up from sleep with usb Keyboard

by sacricide

As the title suggests, i have a problem with waking up the device because it will only respond to the original bluetooth remote. Which im trying to cut out of the equation. i have a wireless WIFI keyboard from logitech that will wake up my NEXUS PLAYER from sleep when you tap a key. However the MI BOX does no such thing.

Anything that im missing here? im close to putting my nexus player back in the living room so i dont have like 3 remotes all layed out to get my entertainment system powered up

Can't help you, but very interested in the same. I didn't find a way to wake mine up via keyboard nor with a variety of keys via Flirc as suggested in this thread .

i suspect its just not something built in the software or hardware somehow. Seems like such a simple thing, was hoping maybe there was a way to at least prevent sleep mode entirely but even that in DEV mode doesnt prevent it from sleeping

I discovered with using my 4 port hub that if I turn the ports off after putting the device to sleep & turn them on after booting the device back up each time they come out of sleep just fine, but you cannot leave them on or connected 100% of the time. Rather inconvenient for those who are using a hub without powered port control. Exactly why I tried to find a replacement Bluetooth remote that had all the features I wanted, but none of those had voice input or removable battery options, so I was stuck going with a 2.4Ghz model.
