Just purchased a Philips 55PUS6401 and i want to install some APK outside the play store (all 4 streaming, ITV hub)
Is there a way to do this? At the moment there is no option to allow install from unknown sources, the option is missing

I think it may have been removed entirely from Philips TVs unfortunately.
Even if they've removed the unknown sources option, you should be able to sideload by turning USB and network debugging on and using ADB to install from a PC.
Note that you'll need to enable developer options to get to the debug settings. Go to settings/about, find the build number, highlight it, and press the OK or Enter key on your remote 10 times.
I don't have this TV but try sideloading an app and the install activity should start up the default APK installer which hopefully gives you the option at that point to install from unknown sources.
For ex. find the app SideloadTag on Google Play and then sideload the Twitter Fire app using the tag TWTFRE. Hope that works for ya!
