So far the major bummer is they didn't integrate with Live TV, which is disappointing, but at least everything they implemented works well, the guide and UI is quick and responsive on my Shield.

Hoping for live channel integration in a future update.

Well, should I stick with Sling or switch to Vue?

Anyone have experience with both? I don't have any problems with Sling..it's actually been 100% no problems for me for this entire year.

I see that Vue offers DVR and some more channels than Sling. Is there any problems with the streaming quality or consistency?

YES!!!!!!!

Zelius

Does it support Live Channels? I'm not expecting it, but it would be nice.

Blue_Calx

does it have DD 5.1?

Here's the link to the app in the Play Store.

It looks to be the same as the Fire TV app, which is good.

Getting real tired of these fucking developers not integrating into Live Channels

jdcnosse

Sweet! This was the only thing really holding us back

Really happy to have this as an option but man is it laggy in menus once a channel ID streaming. Almost unusable. Really hope they get that sorted quickly. Nexus player.

Love the UI and performance (though sometimes it get stalls - could be initially data loading). While fast forwarding through a show, it caused my Nvidia shield to hard crash , so they have some cleanup to do. They still need to support Live Channels and AndroidTV unified (voice) search. But a Great start(albeit late considering their support for other platforms first).

I I will be dropping SlingTV (no DVR , messy UI design and has poor integration). And hope that PS-Vue and upcoming Google streaming TV allows me to fully cut the cord...

The videoquality is impressive. It's good even when my TV is up on the 3rd floor and my router is at the bottom of the house using WIFI.

Good lord the PS Vue app is LIGHTYEARS ahead of Sling! And the basic package has all the channels I watch including Discovery Science! Hello again, How It's Made! I missed you!

I'm switching to Vue.

Yea I started the free trial. And cancelled sling after a couple hours. DVR is great. It is more expensive but I'm willing to pay. I watch a lot of sports talk shows but not right when they air so this is perfect.

How/when do your recorded shows erase?

silentflight15

I'm not able to get 60 fps on NP or Mi Box.

How do use prev channel feature on mi box remote for vue

I haven't noticed any performance issues with Vue on the SHIELD TV. Stream quality is decent enough, but it would be nice if it were better than 720p. I haven't run into any buffering issues at all, and so far haven't seen any major blockiness, though. I've been quite pleasantly surprised since my SHIELD is using a pretty crappy 802.11n connection that sometimes drops below 60Mbps air data rate.

Sadly, I probably won't keep it once the trial is up, though. It's hard to justify $40 a month for How It's Made and House Hunters International. Having all the broadcast networks except ABC streaming live is nice, but again difficult to justify when 2 months of Vue would buy me a new HDHomerun. If it were $25 or even $30 I'd probably keep it, and definitely would for $20, but $40 is just too close to cable money for my taste.

Can't justify it unless I can get rid of Netflix and Hulu (and I'm not getting rid of Amazon Prime, lol).

This is awesome. Now I can completely ditch my fire stick and solely use my shield TV.

So, what's a good atv device that's faster than my old Nexus Player and won't break the bank?

trinipirate

Glad this finally came. Sling has served me well over the months and as when the NFL season started I became an Orange + Blue subscriber. I'm going to have to switch to Vue core for the same channels and more features at a cheaper price. Don't have a whole lot of bad to say about Sling but it's a no brainer for me.

watchyirc

Haven't tried this but I may of direct tv now sucks. I'm using my 2 months free of sling ATM tho
