NVIDIA rolling out Shield Android TV upgrade 3.3 with improved audio, updated Vulkan API, and more

I don't see the update quite yet on either of my shields, but I can wait. Even if it's not a huge update like 3.2, it's still QUITE welcome to see new features added. Nvidia is honestly the best OEM for Android, arguably as good as Google themselves... if not better. And the Shield TV continues to validate itself as a great purchase.

I hope this update stops notifying you of background apps crashing or the random disconnection of the Android Remote application. The last update has caused both of these issues and they're super annoying. It is useless to tell me an app has crashed in the background. I don't care. And to make me get the controller and hit OK makes it even worse.

TrueHD passthrough in Plex is here (and thus Atmos).

Fuck yeah.

I hope it fixes my HDMI-CEC issues since the Marshmallow update

Is it finally going to fix the damn microphone on the remote that stopped working out of nowhere?
